Mehr lesenInspired by the LIN project partnership established last autumn with Regionalentwicklung Oststeiermark and the Regional Development Agency Oststeirisches Kernland, this year’s team-building day led us purposefully into this diverse region—rich not only in scenic beauty but also in social and green entrepreneurship. Once again, the SBHS team and teams from the Social & Green Business Incubation Programme came together for a day centered around exchange, inspiration, and meaningful connection.
Our day began with a visit to Design ab Hof in Pöllau. Host Karin Heschl-Polzhofer welcomed us with open arms, delicious regional treats, and a creative hand lettering workshop. Amidst paintbrushes, paper, and plenty of laughter, one thing became clear: calligraphy isn’t easy—but it brings people together.
Next, we headed to Pöllau Castle, where Kathrin van Zeist introduced us to the Bienenerlebniswelt Pöllauer Tal (Pöllau Valley Bee Experience World). Developed through a LEADER project by the Regional Development Agency Oststeirisches Kernland and Sparkasse Pöllau, this initiative creates a unique space that blends environmental education, tourism promotion, and regional networking. A visionary project with heart—and wings.
We concluded the day at a cosy Buschenschank, enjoying good food and inspiring conversations about the many ways our network can continue to strengthen the visibility and impact of social entrepreneurship across Styria.
A heartfelt thank-you to Karin Heschl-Polzhofer and Kathrin van Zeist for their inspiring contributions—and to everyone who joined us and made the day truly special!
