Crowdfunding workshop for social entrepreneurs – 12 December 2023
On 22 November 2023, at the Social Business Meet & Greet, the community event of the Styrian social business ecosystem, with a short introductory speech about the new opportunity for crowdfunding support was introduced to impact ventures and to other stakeholders. With Erasmus+ supported LearningTogether project, Social Business Hub Styria built new capacities in cooperation with Brodoto (Croatia) to provide new type of support to social entrepreneurs in order that they can find different funding opportunities to establish their business.
Participants were invited to the Crowdfunding workshop on 12 December 2023 to get to know more about the basics of crowdfunding. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to meet Branimir Radakovic and Petra Jurlina, crowdfunding experts from Croatia. Great opportunity to get to know the basics, but also get advice for launching or running crowdfunding campaigns.

How social businesses generate social impact
There are different ways in which a social business can combine impact with an economic business model. In an integrated approach impact is directly generated through commercial activities. Target groups are part of the model either as employees of the company, as users of services or as customers. When customers and beneficiaries differ the situation is more complex and a differentiated impact business model applies. “Sustainable” businesses generate impact by using environmentally sustainable processes, products or services.
