Data protection declaration for the processing and use of personal data by the Social Business Hub Styria to provide information in accordance with Art. 13 of the GDPR regulation.
Brief description of the Social Business Hub Styria (SBHS) Idea Competition.
We are looking for ideas and concepts to solve societal or ecological challenges. The best ideas will be awarded a total of € 3,000 in cash and selected idea owners can take part in the SBHS Impact Lab and Bootcamp free of charge. They receive a wide range of support to further develop the submitted idea and work on its implementation.
Announcement and selection of the winners
The data processing in phase 1 of the Idea Call affects all people who submit a project for the Idea Call of the Social Business Hub Styria.
Processing purposes, storage duration, data transfer
Application and implementation
For the purpose of applying with your project to the Idea Call, we process your data according to the submission form, such as information about the idea submitted and your contact details on the basis of your consent given through the application.
The personal data you provide is required to carry out the Idea Call (communication, jury meetings, selection, documentation) and participation is not possible without it. We save and process the data to carry out and implement the selection procedure and also for internal documentation purposes for a maximum of 3 years.
Art. 6 paragraph 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent): By submitting your application, you consent to the processing of the data (application form) by the person responsible, otherwise participation in the competition is not possible.
Processing by the jury
The data is passed on to jury members to select the best projects. The responsible jury members will be announced in relation to the respective competition and will receive all the data according to the submission form in order to be able to carry out the jury work. Personal data will be passed on to the responsible jury members on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 b) of GDPR regulation (implementation of the competition). The processing of personal data by the jury members is based on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 f) of GDPR regulation (predominant legitimate interests). The jury members or the organizations they represent have a legitimate interest in supporting the competition and promoting talent. Finally, the processing of personal data by jury members is based on consent given in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 a) of GDPR when applying. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties or to third countries by the jury members. After the purpose has been fulfilled (termination of the jury work), the data will be deleted.
Art. 6 paragraph 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent): By participating, you consent to the data (application form) being passed on to the jury members, otherwise participation in the competition is not possible.
Implementation of the award ceremony and image and video recordings during the event
After the jury has selected the best ideas, they will be awarded at an award ceremony. Image and video recordings are created and processed. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 b) of GDPR regulation (implementation of the competition), Art. 6 Paragraph 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent) and Art. 6 Paragraph 1 f) of GDPR regulation (based on the legitimate interest of Social Business Hub Styria on effective press and public relations work to accompany the competition and the award ceremony and its documentation). The SBHS Idea Call is made known through press and public relations work and the message is conveyed that participation is worthwhile. The commitment to social and ecological innovations should also be recognized.
Art. 6 Paragraph 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent): By participating, you consent to the inclusion and publication in whole or in part in print media, on the Internet (e.g. on the homepage, as well as in social media platforms (e.g. Facebook), that are managed by the Social Business Hub Styria. Participants can withdraw or restrict their consent at any time in writing. Otherwise, it applies without a time limit. The revocation applies to all future publications, but not to those that have already been published.
Publication of images and short summary of the participants
In connection with the SBHS Idea Call, we would like to post the brief summaries submitted by the participants (see application form) and the image material voluntarily provided by them (including naming the author) in print media or or also in electronic media (e.g. TV , Facebook, website, newsletter ...). Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR (consent): By participating, you consent to the publication of the short summary and images in print media, on the Internet (e.g. on the homepage, as well as on social media platforms (e.g. Facebook) used by social business Hub Styria. Participants can withdraw or restrict their consent at any time. Otherwise, it applies without a time limit. The revocation applies to all future publications, but not to those that have already been published.
SBHS Impact Lab and Bootcamp
As part of the participation in the SBHS Impact Lab and Bootcamp, further data will be processed in consultation with the participants.
Processing purposes, storage duration, data transfer
Photos and video recordings
Photos and/or video recordings are created within the framework of the above-mentioned sessions.
These photos and / or video materials are used or published for the following purposes:
• Insertion in the reports on the SBHS Idea Call
• List on the SBHS homepage https://socialbusinesshub.at or on the homepage of SBHS project partners
• On the SBHS social media channels of the SBHS and of SBHS project partners
• As part of the reports internally and to external media on activities of SBHS partners
No portraits or pictures associated with the name will be published.
Art. 6 Paragraph 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent): By participating in the SBHS Impact Lab and Bootcamp, you consent to the inclusion and publication in whole or in part in print media, on the Internet (e.g. on the homepage, as well as in social media platforms (e.g. Facebook), which are managed by the Social Business Hub Styria. Participants can revoke or restrict their consent at any time in writing. Otherwise, it applies without a time limit. The revocation applies to all future publications, but not to those that have already been published.
Forwarding of contact data within the group of people participating in the SBHS Impact Lab and Bootcamp
Art. 6 Para. 1 a) of GDPR regulation (consent): By participating, you consent to the transfer of your contact details to the other awarded and registered participants if you qualify for the SBHS Lab and Impact Bootcamp. Participants can revoke or restrict their consent at any time in writing. The revocation applies to all future publications, but not for publications that have already taken place.
Affected Rights
You have the right to information in order to check whether and which personal data we have stored about you; a right to correct your personal data that is incorrect, a right to delete your personal data that is not (no longer) processed in accordance with the law, and in this context a right to restrict processing. You also have a right to data portability. If the processing is based on consent, you have the right to revoke the consent you have given at any time without giving reasons. You have the right to have personal data deleted if you revoke your consent on which the processing was based and there is no other legal basis for the processing. The legality of the data processing up to the time of your revocation remains unaffected. If we base the processing of your personal data on overriding legitimate interests, you have the right to object. With regard to all of these rights, please contact the office specified under the person responsible for data processing.
