LearningTogether “Social innovation in Entrepreneurship” session in Graz

After the successful kick-off of the Erasmus+ LearningTogether project, Brodoto continued sharing their crowdfunding experiences in online sessions during March. In April, the topic of social entrepreneurship was put into focus and leading the peer-to-peer sessions was taken over by Social Business Hub Styria. On 20 April 2023, Brodoto colleagues from Zagreb visited the social business support organisation in Graz.

During the during the one-day event, the experts of SBHS, Rüdiger Wetzl-Piewald, Kirsten Tangemann and Andreas Neubauer provided insights into the social entrepreneurship ecosystem of Styria, the impact categories, stakeholder relationship, the services provided to social entrepreneurs

We thank Klaus Candussi and Walburga Fröhlich to welcome the LearningTogether team at the inclusive restaurant, Das Lorenz introducing atempo and capito, the most successful Styrian social enterprises. They shared their more than 20 years of experience being social entrepreneurs, including the challenges they faced while becoming a best practice in Europe. They shortly explained their recently implemented Crowdinvestment campaign entitled “capito – simple language for everyone”, in which they raised more than 500.000 eur loan from backers.

The in-person visit continued with online sessions until the end of April between the two organisations and more detailed knowledge was shared around the above topics. In the next phase of the project the intensive collaboration keeps ongoing by collecting good practices of crowdfunding campaigns in Austria and social entrepreneurship projects in Croatia. We are very proud that many social entrepreneurs of our community (Das Gramm, Schau aufs Land, apflbutzn) have already taken the first steps in launching successful crowdfunding and crowdinvestment campaigns. We hope that more will follow them in Styria and can get support from Social Business Hub Styria. Follow us at the project website and we will inform you about our next incubation programme, in which crowdfunding workshops, developed within the LearningTogether project, will be also available.
